ABOUT US

making work simpler
and more effective.

Traditional VMS technology is transactional.
VNDLY’s technology is interactional.

VNDLY’s friendly yet sophisticated, powerful technology platform provides effective management of every client’s non-employee workforce program. Informed by e-commerce design principles, our modern, cloud-based solution is easily configured and intuitive—something you won’t find with legacy software.

We engineered built-in API integrations, which allow VNDLY to seamlessly communicate with leading human resources, procurement, provisioning, finance, and employee management software—often through a single entry point. That way, our clients can effortlessly share data and other necessary information across departments, truly unifying their technology stacks. And we bring together everyone involved in the process, including managed services providers, suppliers, and workers.

What we care about most is making work simpler and more effective for every user. By creating the industry’s easiest-to-use and configure vendor management platform coupled with impeccable customer support, we help others achieve by taking the pain out of what is often complex.

VISION

VNDLY will be the world’s friendliest, simplest, and most client-centric enterprise software company.

Leadership

Shashank Saxena
CEO and Co-founder

Shashank Saxena
CEO and Co-founder

Shashank founded VNDLY in 2017 with Narayan Surabhi after the two realized they needed cloud native, modern VMS technology that didn’t exist.

Before starting VNDLY, Shashank was amassing the experience that serves him today. As the Corporate Strategy Leader at The Kroger Co., he led partnerships and new business development. Before he held that position, he led the company’s digital and e-commerce strategy. A true veteran of business technology, he worked on Citigroup’s multiple global customer service applications.

When he takes a break from educating people about the phenomenal benefits of VNDLY, Shashank spends time with his family and friends (with whom he plays cricket and poker).

Narayan Surabhi
President and Co-founder

Narayan Surabhi
President and Co-founder

Narayan realized if he was going to have the vendor management technology he needed, he would have to create it. He founded VNDLY in 2017 with Shashank Saxena to do just that.

Narayan spent more than 20 years at CSC, where he most recently led Global Retail and Consumer Portfolios. He directed a diverse portfolio with hundreds of clients, thousands of employees, and hundreds of millions in revenue. His passion and prior experiences led him to uncover the possibilities with modern technology and the non-employee workforce.

When he isn’t solving problems through technology, you’ll find Narayan with his family exploring captivating places and cultures around the globe.

Chuck Mobley
Chief Technology Officer

Chuck Mobley
Chief Technology Officer

Chuck’s career in technology (he wouldn’t tell us exactly how long) has resulted in e-commerce software applications that have reached 50 million households across the U.S. Now, he does the same for VNDLY, building complex, integrated systems for extended workforce management.

While at The Kroger Co., he worked with Shashank Saxena, who nabbed him as VNDLY’s first employee. Chuck built teams and led design and implementation for Kroger, creating service-oriented applications to provide promotional offers to in-store and online shoppers. He was also the lead architect of Kroger’s digital program where he expanded platform services and data storage technologies which increased Kroger’s web and mobile consumer applications.

When he takes a break from creating super-amazing technology, Chuck, a U.S. Army Infantry veteran, prefers to spend time with his wife and three children.

Global Sales and Marketing

David Weiss
Executive Vice President of
Global Sales and Marketing

David joined VNDLY to lead sales and marketing efforts in 2019. His more than two decades’ experience in the non-employee labor solutions industry made him the perfect person to lead the team that shares VNDLY’s business-changing benefits.

Throughout his career, he’s successfully grown revenues, streamlined sales operations, and established strategic partnerships. His earlier experiences at SAP Fieldglass and PeopleClick gave him the opportunity to work with Fortune 1000 clients, build global sales teams, and communicate his deep level of product functional expertise and solutions-building. Now VNDLY benefits from that expertise – David and his team are shaking up the industry.

In his not-prevalent-enough free time, you’ll find David with his family, having lots of fun and advocating for the Gift of Life leukemia registry.

John Adkins
Vice President of
Product and Engineering

John Adkins
Vice President of
Product and Engineering

John joined VNDLY in 2019 to help scale the engineering organization to keep pace with VNDLY’s ambitious plans. His more than 20 years’ experience building teams across retail and financial sectors is already proving vital to VNDLY’s growth.

John’s career has centered on optimizing platforms in customer-facing and back-office settings. His first gig as a developer focused on complex system integrations, which led him to other product and leadership roles. Most recently, John led a team of nearly 200 engineers responsible for the web and mobile customer experiences at The Kroger Co., which touched millions of households every day.

When not trolling nearly all of VNDLY on Slack, John runs an unsuccessful hobby farm with his wife and two kids. He enjoys dabbling in all things centered around living a more sustainable life, which include gardening and woodworking. His current obsession is exploring ways to preserve foods using fermentation and smoking.

Stephen Fedor
Vice President of Services

Stephen is a seasoned global implementations leader, now sharing his expertise in implementations, client success, and product support with VNDLY’s clients. Since he joined the team in 2019, he has configured implementations solutions for more than 30 clients. He’s a certified Project Management Professional, which means he knows more than the rest of us about that.

With SAP Fieldglass, Stephen implemented more than 150 client solutions (25 global) which amassed a spend of about $3 billion. He has spearheaded projects in contingent labor, statement of work, and worker tracking for some of the world’s biggest companies in the US, Canada, Mexico, and EMEA (that’s a bunch of countries).

On his non-VNDLY time, Stephen enjoys his wife and two children.

Tom keeps VNDLY running. He oversees accounting, finance, employee success, legal, internal IT, audit, compliance, security, and international operations and expansion. He was the company’s third full-time employee, coming in to establish and maintain VNDLY’s bedrock teams and systems.

He spent time at The Kroger Co., where he worked closely with Shahsank Saxena, managing a digital technology team of more than 100 software developers. Tom and his team were responsible for development of customer-facing websites and implementation of the company’s online shopping experience.

Tom is also committed to his alma mater, Miami University, where he taught and now serves on the Information Systems and Analytics Department Advisory Board.

Cassandra Copeland
Director of Quality Engineering

Cassandra Copeland
Director of Quality Engineering

Cassandra joined VNDLY shortly after its founding to ensure the value the company delivered was of the highest quality and met customer expectations.

She has spent 15 years in quality assurance, holding leadership positions with retail, financial services, and education organizations. Most recently, Cassandra was with The Kroger Co. (Anyone seeing a pattern with VNDLY employees here?), where she was instrumental in transforming their quality assurance function. She shifted the company’s approach from traditional manual testing to one that was automated and agile.

When Cassandra isn’t making sure VNDLY is top-notch, she’s with her husband, daughters, and one granddaughter she proclaims she’s obsessed with. Her family and community benefit from her love of cooking, crocheting, and volunteering at her church.

Kyle Hodgson
Director of Engineering

Kyle Hodgson
Director of Engineering

Kyle leads engineering and technology for three of VNDLY’s product teams and runs Canadian operations, which means he’s involved with development, operations, and sales in two countries. He’s also busy building the Canadian engineering team to keep up with new product development and updates to existing solutions.

Before he was snagged by VNDLY, Kyle was Executive Technical Principal with ThoughtWorks, a global technology and digital strategy consultancy that partners with and works for some of the world’s largest organizations. As head of technology for ThoughtWorks Canada, he led teams that provided engineering, architecture, and digital transformation strategy advice to C-level executives, startups, and large regulatory bodies.

When he isn’t making things with technology, a self-proclaimed favorite activity, he’s motivated to help others accomplish their ambitious goals. He’s accomplished some of his own – Kyle is a published technical author and three-time start-up chief technical officer.
