With the recent announcement of big tech companies such as Spotify and Twitter offering remote work indefinitely, silicon valley is seeing a decline in residents. Many tech employees filled the streets of San Francisco on a daily basis before the COVID-19 pandemic, but now all that’s left are empty buildings.

Many say this exodus from silicon valley is due to the flexibility of being anywhere in the world while working from “home.” This has left people asking if cities like Nashville or Austin will become the next silicon valley as many tech gurus are flocking to these areas.
